Origin & evolution

Founded by Sergey Nazarov and Steve Ellis with a whitepaper published in 2017, Chainlink has grown into the dominant oracle provider in DeFi, securing tens of billions of dollars in total value across price feeds. Its CCIP cross-chain protocol launched in mid-2023.
