Shiba Inu was launched in August 2020 by an anonymous founder known as Ryoshi. Half of the initial token supply was famously sent to Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, who later burned a large portion of his holdings in May 2021, instantly removing trillions of SHIB from circulation.
